Our Adventure

You’ve Arrived! Gingersnap Farm
Hello! Welcome to my blog where I share with you life’s unpredictable ebbs and flows. Gingersnap Farm is in the very beginning stages of creation. We are learning as we go and hope you will learn with us.
Nice to Meet You
Hi, I'm Hannah, my husband, Jordan and I live on a small hobby farm I guess you could call it. We both want to live a more wholesome lifestyle and that is kind of what this blog will be about. Our journey to that lifestyle and the challenges that come with it. We also both work, me part time and him full time so it may be a bit of a challenge to achieve everything we would like to. So to begin, Welcome to my blog! Not going to lie, this is a first for me. I'm not very tech savvy nor am I a big social media person. I am going to try this blogging thing more to keep track of my progress in starting up gingersnap farm. Writing has also never been a strong suite of mine but we shall see how it goes. I don't have a clear goal set yet as far as what this farm will end up being focused on so its a bit of a learn as I go project. With that said the name is also not set in stone so that may change as well. I am passionate about animals, especially horses so they will be a big part of it. However, in the end I know I want this farm to be able to provide for my family as well as be a sanctuary from the busyness of everyday life.
We moved to a new property last spring (2022) and are loving it! We went from a 5 acre property that was mostly pasture to a 10 acre property that has some woods, a small food forest that was started by the previous owners, and yet still has plenty of pasture for our horses. We currently have a small menagerie of animals including; 5 horses, 4 dogs, 4 cats and 2 ferrets with the plan to add chickens and possible cows in the next year. With that said we will let the adventure begin!
